SJMS Science Club explored the physics of catapults and how potential energy was converted to kinetic energy. A discussion was held regarding how catapults had been used in warfare in ancient times. Then club members created their own catapults and held a contest to see which one could hurl a piece of candy corn the farthest. The winning team was Jered Sanders & Bo Davis with second place taken by Kendall Fillippino.
