SUBSTITUTE TEACHER K-6

St. Joseph School maintains an in-house list of approved substitute teachers to be called upon when needed. If interested in being on the substitute list, please complete an application for employment.

ACADEMIC INTERVENTIONIST (SPECIAL EDUCATION), 1-12

Position Summary
St. Joseph School seeks a qualified candidate to join its faculty as a grade 1-12 Academic Interventionist (Special Education) Teacher beginning August 16, 2021 for the Academic Year 2021-2022. This is a full-time faculty position. Position comes with full benefits. Work hours may vary and will include some evenings and weekends for special school events. Salary is competitive and is commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. Degree
Special Education Certification, preferred or willingness to pursue
Position may include teaching a 1st grade through 12th grade curriculum
Experience working with adolescents
Excellent organization and communication skills

Preferences:
Master's Degree in Special Education
Successful teaching experience
Familiarity with and understanding of practical uses of technology for instruction

Specifically, the Faculty Member:
1. supports the Catholic mission of the school;
2. works in collaboration with the administration in observing the principles and ideals for which St. Joseph School stands and should conduct himself/herself at all times in a manner which shall not bring reproach upon himself/herself;
3. devotes energies to teaching in conformity with the policies of St. Joseph School and is subject at all times to the general control and supervision of the Principal;
4. will perform services that include the preparation of examinations, the correction and assignment of grades, and assigned proctoring;
5. responsible also for ongoing professional development, the customary conferences with students and parents, individual guidance of students, service on faculty committees, active service in studying school issues, preparation of syllabi, attendance at events listed in the school's Personnel Handbook, attendance at faculty meetings, and participation in other such professional incidental services, in judgement of the Principal, the needs of the school require.

Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Education
Positions may include teaching a Kindergarten or 3rd Grade curriculum
Experience working with adolescents
Excellent organization and communication skills

Preferences:
Master's Degree
