These 8th grade girls attended the Girl Power in STEM Conference at UCA on April 28. They learned about career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math which some girls shy away from. The conference commended the girls for their current successes while helping them to visualize what they could become if they aim high. The featured speaker was just such a girl. Dr Amber Straughn is a NASA astrophysicist who grew up on a farm in Bee Branch.

FIrst grader Allie Burns seems delighted with the wellness check her stuffed animal is getting from UCA nursing student Katlynn Randolph during a Teddy Bear Clinic conducted by the University's Nursing Department on April 27.

Coach Luke Davis' 8th grade science students have been studying how animals obtain and digest food. Today, Coach Davis fried some chicken gizzards and hearts for his class which Rebecca Chamoun and Jacob Bailey are seen tasting.

Middle School families were treated to a student performance of "A Not So Terrible Parable" Thursday night. It was an inspirational spring musical directed by music teacher Margaret Teeling. The show featured fine acting and enthusiastic choral singing.
