HOLY SATURDAY: As the soldiers guard the tomb, we solemnly wait and pray...

On this Good Friday our Hispanic parishioners presented a living Stations of the Cross in the Parish Hall. Sister Rosa narrated and directed a powerful dramatization. Samuel Ramirez was Jesus, Rigo Garcia was Pontius Pilate, Silvia Yanez was Mary, Mother of Jesus, and our own Jeremy Elsinger was St. John.

Senior David Beck has agreed to attend the University of the Ozarks at Clarksville in the Fall where he'll play baseball. His academic record will earn him $14,500 a year in scholarship money. David is following his brother Andrew to the U of O who's been a star baseball player there. He graduates this year. Seated alongside of David are his parents, Gary and Natalie Beck. Girlfriend Rachel Prall is behind along with his sister and niece, Heather and Aubrey Hum, and St Joseph Baseball Coach Luke Davis.

GOOD FRIDAY: "For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

The Senior Class spent much of the day April 11 helping the needy at the Soul Food Cafe Mission. The students packed food boxes for distribution, helped prepare and serve hot meals, and also handed out clothing and other necessities to displaced persons. The Mission does this every Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Conway.
