The Professional Day's keynote speaker was Sister Carol Cimino, the Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Buffalo, NY. Her topic was "Dancing to the Beat of Hope." She had her audience literally dancing in the aisles with her highly entertaining and inspiring delivery.
Second grade teacher Tamara McMillan was recognized at the 81st Professional Day held at Christ the King Church in Little Rock for 25 years of service in Catholic education. She was given an award by Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools Thersea Hall.
Food Services Manager Jeff Crowder and his staff did a great job of serving such families as David, Drew, Caleb, and Jane Nabholz.
Robbie Davis and grandson Cy Davis also enjoyed their meal.
The Elementary School served a Grandparents Lunch today in conjunction with the school's Book Fair. Phillip Hiegel, 1st grader Ellie Hiegel, and Bob and Debbie Rigdon ate a lunch of chicken and dumplings, rolls, peas and carrots, salad, and cinnamon apples.

The Class of 2018 displayed a Senior Crest to the student body at an all-school Mass on Sept 27. This was a change from past tradition since the Seniors had previously created large banners to symbolize their beliefs and goals for the future. With the eventual demolition of the Parish Hall/Cafeteria, space for banners would be problematic. The much smaller crest will be hung in the high school instead as will succesive ones.
