St. Joseph School Community,
The administration team has been closely monitoring the possibility of severe weather due to Hurricane Laura. St. Joseph School does not intend to close early, but does recognize the possibility of severe weather and flooding. St. Joseph School does serve many families in the greater Central Arkansas area. Therefore, if you wish to check your student out early or call St. Joseph High School (501.329.5741) to have your driver dismissed, know that St. Joseph School supports your decision. I do respectfully ask that all students be picked up early from After School Care due to the anticipated high winds later in the evening.
The administrative team asks parents to watch for messaging about the status of tomorrow (Friday). Current predictions indicate that the severe weather will have moved out by tomorrow; however, if there are power outages, flooding, and/or road closures, school may have to be closed. Again, a decision has not been made about tomorrow. St. Joseph School wants to be proactive in communicating to parents in case arrangements need to be made for childcare.
