Kindergarten classes at St. Joseph Elementary School held their traditional Native American pow-wow and Thanksgiving feast on November 24. Teachers Lois Coney and Charlotte Moix had been teaching the children about Indian customs, homes and dances.
After donning vests and head dresses, the kindergartners gathered outside, played tom toms and danced around a teepee. A meal of corn on the cob, trail mix and cranberry muffins was served afterwards.
We thank you, Father, for the gift of Jesus your Son who came to our earth and lived in a simple home. We have a greater appreciation of the value and dignity of the human family because he loved and was loved within its shelter. Bless us this day; may we grow in love for each other in our family and so give thanks to you who are the maker of all human families and our abiding peace.

The Bulldogs and the Hornets played Thursday night. It was the Junior Boys, the Senior Girls and the Senior Boys. St. Joseph won all three games.
