Andrew Tran, Caleb Grigg, and Addison Choate are the top finishers in the spelling bee.

St. Joseph School's top twelve spellers from the 7th and 8th grades competed in a spelling bee on November 30 to determine who'll participate in the Faulkner County Bee next month. English teacher Alicia Yrle moderated the local contest.
It took about 20 rounds to determine a winner, but 8th grader Andrew Tran won 1st Place by correctly spelling "vernacular." Eighth grader Caleb Grigg earned 2nd Place and eighth grader Addison Choate was 3rd. She'll serve as an alternate should either of the other two winners be unable to attend.
The Faulkner County Bee will be held January 22, 2022 at the Mayflower Middle School.
