We honor all military veterans, past and present, on this Veterans Day. It was first established in 1954 after having originally been known as Armistice Day signifying the end of World War I in 1919.
This photo was taken at the St. Joseph Cemetery where retired MSGT USAF Ray Briggler places American flags next to the resting places of parish veterans on this occasion each year.
