Haven Development Manager Emma Barre recently accepted a $1,100 donation from St. Joseph High School sophomore Noelle Pizzolatto. It came from a March fundraiser by the school's Interact Club which is affiliated with the Conway Noon Rotary Club. Noelle serves as the club's board chairman.
Students on the school's elementary, middle and high school campuses paid for the privilege of wearing green on St. Patrick's Day in place of their uniforms. The sum was the largest the school had raised since it started the service project several years ago.
Haven, which began in Conway in 1986, provides a safe residential shelter and therapeutic environment for adolescent females who've experienced abuse or neglect.
