Students at St. Joseph High School recently completed a service project coordinated by religion teachers Phyllis Eubanks and Shade Gilbert. In keeping with almsgiving, one of the traditional pillars of the Lenten season, students and parents gave Conway's Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center such much needed items as diapers, baby wipes, onesies and car seats.
"We were able to provide four of the latter, " Mr. Gilbert said. "That's the most we've ever received, which were kind and generous gifts." Acts such as these aim to deepen one's relationship with God through self-discipline, inner conversion and charity.
