Spelling Bee Winners

St. Joseph Junior High School students competed in a spelling bee held January 23rd. It was one to decide who would represent the school at the Faulkner County Bee. The local bee was conducted by English teacher Ms. Alicia Yrle.The county event is currently set to be held January 30th at the Friendship Baptist Church off Rocky Point Road near Vilonia.

The 1st through 3rd Place winners were all 8th graders. Austin Kordsmeier won 1st Place by correctly spelling "subpoena." Second Place went to Thaddeus Minor and Griffin Pratt earned 3rd Place.

Each boy will receive a gift card from the St. Joseph School Endowment Office. Both Austin and Thaddeus will participate in the Faulkner County competition but Griffin will serve if either of the others cannot attend.
