Peace Poster Winner

St. Joseph High School recently announced the winner of its Peace Poster Contest which is sponsored by the Conway Evening Lions Club. It's 8th grader Claire Magie. This year's theme is "Together As One." Her poster will later be judged at the district level. It then could go on to be judged by state officials and an international committte.

Contest entrants must be between the ages of 11-13 years old. Artwork must be the original creation of a single student. High school art teacher Penny Bassham works with the Lions Club to coordinate the competition. The students' entries are judged on originality, artistic merit, and expression of theme.

The Grand Prize winner, which would be determined in early 2026, receives a $5,000 cash award and an engraved plaque. Lower amounts of money can be offered at the district and state levels.
