St. Joseph's High School Quiz Bowl Team competed with 15 schools in the Quarter Finals of State Tournament at Centerpoint High School in Amity, Arkansas on April 1st. The team did well in the morning round, defeating Buffalo Island Central and Quitman before losing a close game to Hass Hall Academy, Springdale.
In the single-elimination afternoon round, after a win over Acorn, our Bulldogs fell to the #2 Seed, Lifeway Christian from Centerton, AR. The latter will compete with Haas Hall Academy, Bentonville for the State Championship. That match will be seen on AR PBS later this month.
Hass Hall Academy, Springdale earned 3rd Place while 4th Place went to Conway Christian. St. Joseph tied for 5th Place with East Poinsett County, Hazen and Rison. "I'm Very proud of my kids and grateful to all who helped," faculty sponsor Shade Gilbert said.
