The team placed Third in the Arch Ford Co-op Regional Finals

   St. Joseph Middle School's Quiz Bowl Team completed its season yesterday by earning 3rd Place at the Arch Ford Co-Op Regional Finals held in Plumerville. There were seven other teams in the tournament involving 4th-6th grade students. These included Clinton, Conway Christian, Dover, Hector, Conway's Simon Intermediate, Quitman and Vilonia. First Place went to the Vilonia Middle School and Simon Intermediate won 2nd Place.
   The morning rounds had the Bulldogs winning three straight games against Conway Christian, Simon Intermediate and Vilonia. "We were the number one seed going into the afternoon," Assistant Principal Hannah Belew said. After winning their first game that afternoon the team lost to Vilonia in a close match. "It was our only loss all season," Ms. Belew added. The team then bounced back to win over Conway Christian thus giving it the 3rd Place finish."I'm so proud of how hard our Bulldogs worked," Ms. Belew concluded. "They're so smart and they really impressed me."
