The regular Wednesday all-school Mass was moved to Friday, December 8th, because of it being a Holy Day of Obligation. That was the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception celebrating Mary's conception without sin.
That morning was also St. Joseph School's first opportunity to witness the lighting of Advent Wreath candles which signal the start of four weeks of preparation before Christmas.
These candles represent Hope, Faith, Joy and Peace. Hope is the first one to be lit which was done by 6th grader Zoe Zopolos.
