Rejoice Always 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

On Thursday, Mrs. Yrle's freshman classes meditated on the concept of gratitude. Meditation practices are used to help students manage stress, improve physical and mental health, and develop a better understanding of themselves and others.

The idea of gratitude especially supported the Garrison Keillor piece, "How to Write a Letter," that the students had recently studied by encouraging each student to select a person in their lives and write letters to each of them, offering thanks and appreciation for the difference those people had made in the students' lives. The students wrote letters expressing love and gratitude to grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, teachers, and friends.

The students discussed how gratitude can improve outlook and be a reminder of all the blessings God has given to each of us.

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
