NHS Helps Conway Cradle Care

Members of St. Joseph School's National Honor Society (NHS) delivered non-perishable food items and diaper products to Conway Cradle Care on December 19 as one of the organization's service projects. Conway Cradle Care was established in 1995 to assist teen parents who were forced to drop out of school due to a lack of support for their situation and/or lack of money for childcare. Since then, its mission has expanded to help those parents complete their education by supporting their academic and emotional needs as well as the developmental needs of their children.

The NHS was able to provide these needed supplies through monies raised from various fund-raising efforts. Nicole Fletcher, Cradle Care's Mentoring Director, received the supplies from NHS members (left to right) Elizabeth Chandler, Emily Briggler, Kati Dumboski, and Nate Perry. The NHS Sponsor is English Teacher Kathleen Gueringer.
