Dear Parents and students,

St. Joseph School has been participating in the EcoFest festival for the last six years. I can hardly believe that the SJS high school service club will be there for the seventh time. We started out with the festival when it was very small and have watched it grow into an exciting educational and family fun event.

SJS is known for it's service to the community and for their recycling programs in the classroom, gym and cafeteria so seven years ago we chose as the theme for our booth, "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle". We take old discarded clothes, sheets and other cotton materials-shred them into strips and make rag dolls. The wonderful ladies at the St. Joseph Flea Market save the discarded materials that we use in our booth. They are so good to us!

Below is a poster sent by the Eco-Fest committee explaining what will be going on that day and the particulars of the festival. In case you do not know where Laurel Park is located, it is the park across the street from Conway High School.

EcoFest has so many things for young and old to see and participate in--bring your family and come have a wonderful time being involved in all the really interesting and educational activities. Please come by our booth and say hello and make a rag doll. You will be able to see-us we have posters on the front of our red striped tent saying, "St. Joseph Interact Club".

Just click on the link below to see the SJS Interact Club members in action at last year's EcoFest.

Hope to see you on October 10.
