Dear St. Joseph Parents,
I just wanted to let everyone know that we WILL NOT be doing Athletic Physicals this year at St. Joseph due to safety and liability issues. Also, We have had trouble finding enough doctors to commit to doing physicals because of the liability issues they may face if something were to go wrong.
So, If your son or daughter is participating in any sport this year at St. Joseph they must have a physical completed and on file before they can start practicing with that team.
All physicals are good for one year, so if your son or daughter participated on a sports team last year and had a physical at St. Joseph, those physicals are good until August 19, 2016. On that day they will expire and your son or daughter will no longer be able to practice without a current physical. This involves all cheerleaders, golf, volleyball, cross country and basketball players.
All bowlers who have not had a physical yet will need to have one before they start practicing.
All softball, baseball, and soccer players who have not had a physical yet will need to have one before they start practicing, which is usually in January.
This applies to Pee Wee sports as well. Practice usually starts the end of September-first of October.
We ask you to please don't wait until the last minute to get this done where we have to hold your child out of practice or even a game because they haven't got a physical yet. AAA rules require us to do that.
I know some of you have already gotten a physical for your child this summer. They can bring their physical documentation to their respective coach before practice starts.
THANK YOU for your attention to this matter and if you have any questions please let me know. I will be happy to answer them. Take care and I hope everyone is having a great summer. We look forward to a great school year. Go Bulldogs!
