Our first Honorary Alumni has the nickname of a cat, but the heart of a Bulldog! He has been a big part of the St. Joseph family for the last 36 years, moving from Virginia in 1980 to attend UCA, and making St. Joseph’s his home ever since. His mother, Janet Schrekenhofer, a St. Joe alumn, passed her love of this place on to him, and he and his wife Marilyn Enderlin Dail (Class of 1984) passed it on to their three children- all of whom graduated from St. Joseph’s: Matthew in 2009, Heather in 2011, and Caroline in 2015.
This man’s role in our school and church community has been ever present in a variety of capacities. Bingo, the Bazaar, and countless hours serving with and for the athletic program during the course of 30+ years. For putting up with the coaches alone, he deserves this award! He has always been an avid fan of whatever sport St. Joe is playing, and I bet he still has his pair of 1986 BULLDOG GAME SOCKS from our first basketball state championship, which we will expect him to wear in next year’s alumni game!
Most of all, this man has been a great friend and loyal supporter of our St. Joseph family. It is a pleasure to induct Mark “Garfield” Dail as an honorary graduate of St. Joseph High School.
